What Is Important For You In a Church?
We know that each individual has different priorities when determining which church to attend. Below are some common topics we see people use when determining how to get involved with us.
Beliefs
While we are and independent church not governed by an outside governing organization, we do agree with many of the beliefs of and work with many churches following the Restoration Movement. This movement is an effort by many churches to refocus on the Bible for determining how the church should run and not letting the denominational traditions developed over the last 2,000 years overlook or cloud the truth of the Bible. While this is an effort by thousands of churches, we each are independent and approach this effort differently. To see what this effort means for Anchor, check out our Belief's Page at the link below!

Children's Ministry
Children had a special part in Jesus' ministry, therefore we put extra care into making sure we have a program dedicated to letting them have fun, be a kid, and grow in the love and knowledge of Christ. We offer programs that are designed to be age appropriate to keep kids engaged and help them to learn what's important. Below are a lists of age groups and what we offer.

Music Style
We understand a church's choice is worship music style is important to many people because for some the classic hymns easily get them in the worship mindset while for others a more contemporary music style provides a better worship service. At Anchor we tried to approach this debate a little differently.

Do you like hymn based worship?
Our 9:00am service may work better for you as it is mostly hymns with maybe one or two praise/contemporary songs

Is contemporary music more your style?
Try our 10:30am service where we have a full band on stage and typically higher energy worship music.

Deaf Ministry
We are a deaf and hearing church and because of this we understand that Deaf culture is different than hearing culture. With that knowledge we approach things differently.

Weekly, you can find a 9am Sunday School and Wednesday Night Bible Study taught only in ASL. We also interpret our entire 10:30am service in ASL both online and in person.

Through the year, you can find special events both that are entirely in ASL or events meant to teaching our hearing attenders about Deaf Culture.

Online Ministry
We love to stay connected with people and one great way of doing so is through the internet. We offer many ways to stay connected through various services you may be familiar with.

YouTube
We stream our Sunday services each week to YouTube so that those who can't be with us in person can still worship with us from wherever they find themselves.

Facebook is a way we like to share what is going on, from special events to our weekly services. We also have various groups devoted to some of our ministries so that our members and regular attenders can live life together.

YouVersion
YouVersion offers various ways that churches can interact with the app to help get their congregations to engage more with God's word. One way we engage with this app is through church profiles where we share a YouVersio plan that further explores what we talk about on Sunday.
Serving Opportunities
We believe serving is an important part of and individuals Worship. At Anchor we offer many ways to get involved and serve so those of various backgrounds and skill sets can find a way to serve with us. The link below provides a list of volunteer areas that we are always looking for volunteer.

Interested in helping in a way that isn't listed at the link or interested in an opportunity but concerned you don't have the skills? Let us know. We are always interested in looking into new ways to serve and always happy to train people!
